Coming to Gilbert

It's nothing short of insane around here these past few days. About week ago we received the 'keys' for our new 155+ acre campus in Gilbert and we've been trying to get everything ready for our soft opening this weekend. There are so many teams doing tons of work but here are some of the IT related stats from my area:
4 new buildings
new campus network with campus wide wireless and several new VLANs
40+ new office/cubes with new Cicso IP phones
38+ new classrooms with 38 new Zebra label printers
1 or 2 new POS computers
It's amazing how our whole team (Derek, Robert, David, Phil and me) came together to get all of this online in what seemed like a flash. Even my wife got involved one night last week to help setup some of the new IP phones. We've got a 'ok to fail - pass' from our senior pastor, Cal, who keeps telling everyone to lighten up and enjoy, but no one on this team wants to use that pass.
Lastly we (royal we; actually Jason LaBombard did 99 percent of the work) just launched yet another website tonight called ComingToGilbert.com which goes along with some marketing material that will be published shortly for a giant community event we're hosting at our new campus for the town of Gilbert on October 6th. Read those details over here. October 7th, our new campus opens to the greater public in Gilbert - the fastest growing community in the country. A huge crop in need of harvesting.
